What is SomerStreets?

SomerStreets is an initiative by the City of Somerville and its partners to close the streets to cars and open them to activity! Join us for the 3rd 2010 SomerStreets event presented by the City of Somerville, East Somerville Main Streets and FossFest.

On July 25th from 12-4pm, Broadway will be blocked off from Sullivan Square to Temple Street (Star Market) to make room for dancing, cycling, skating and fun!


Kick-off Parade at 12:30!
Meet at the East Branch Library at 12pm-dress in your festive summer best! Led by Marcus Santos and Bloco, with party bikes from City Bikes, El Salvadorean beauty contestants, Open Air Circus, Somerville Road Runners and MORE!

SomerStreets is the City of Somerville's new Open Streets initiative, which fosters community involvement and active living by closing a section of roadway and offering active, family-friendly programming along the route.
