SOMERVILLE – ¡Prepárate para bailar, celebrar y conectar en el Carnaval de SomerStreets 2025!
Estás invitado a ponerte los zapatos de baile, porque el Carnaval de SomerStreets regresa el domingo 1 de junio, de 2 a 6 p.m. (fecha alternativa por lluvia: domingo 8 de junio), para dar inicio a la temporada 2025 de SomerStreets — una serie de tres vibrantes festivales callejeros en distintos vecindarios de la ciudad.
El Carnaval celebra el corazón y el alma del Distrito Comercial de East Somerville, reuniendo comunidad, cultura y cocina con música, comida y actividades familiares de todo el mundo. El festival se extenderá a lo largo de Broadway, desde McGrath Highway hasta Pennsylvania Avenue.
El día comenzará a las 2 p.m. con un colorido desfile que partirá desde Garfield Avenue. A lo largo del evento, los asistentes podrán explorar más de 40 puestos de artesanía, disfrutar de presentaciones en vivo de Grooversity y Trio Champola, y saborear platos de 13 restaurantes locales — incluyendo al nuevo El Jalisco y a los favoritos de siempre Gauchao y Rincón.
Los asistentes también podrán participar en actividades interactivas como creación de arte colaborativo con los artistas locales Andrés Duarte y Nate Devarie. Para las familias, la diversión continúa con una Casa Inflable, Parkour, Esh Circus Arts y muchas más actividades emocionantes para todas las edades.
El Carnaval de SomerStreets es organizado por East Somerville Main Streets en colaboración con el Somerville Arts Council. SomerStreets es la versión local de la ciudad de Somerville del movimiento internacional Open Streets — que transforma calles transitadas en espacios públicos animados para caminar, bailar y jugar.
