Our Faces: Immigrant Inheritance in East Somerville
Held at Connexion on April 11, The Future Is Already Here (Our Faces) showcased the creative work developed through the first two phases of the Faces of East community engagement process. The event featured multimedia pieces and original artwork by @nxnandres, inspired by the stories, ideas, and perspectives shared by East Somerville residents.
Through projections, art, music, and community gathering, the exhibition celebrated the neighborhood's identity and the collective vision created by its community.
The event was marked by inclusion, color, diversity, music, and a strong sense of neighborhood unity, bringing the community together to celebrate creativity and the many voices that shape East Somerville.
The Faces of East project is supported by the New England Foundation For the Art's Public Art for Spatial Justice program, with funding from the Barr Foundation and the fund for the Arts at NEFA.
