PUBLIC ART FOR SPACIAL JUSTICE
Our Faces: Immigrant Inheritance in East Somerville
Faces of East is a community-driven arts initiative supported by the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) that celebrates the people, cultures, and stories that make East Somerville unique. Through a series of community engagement activities, residents shared their experiences, memories, and visions for the neighborhood, helping to shape creative concepts that reflect the community's identity.
The project included three community engagement opportunities, community storytelling, workshops, and designs exposed on our main street.
The Faces of East project is supported by the New England Foundation For the Art's Public Art for Spatial Justice program, with funding from the Barr Foundation and the fund for the Arts at NEFA.
