This Is East Banner Festival

This Is East Banner Festival aimed to connect East Somerville's cultural backgrounds, stories and history to Broadway. We honored all the Somerville superstars who are part of the banners decorating East Broadway, with a print of the artwork signed by artist Meagan O'Brien. We also created a space for people to reminisce and write their history using ten old typewriters and post them on a gigantic wooden typewriter. The celebration included musical performances by Somerville Symphony Orkestar, Tammy Rego, Banda Bahia and Somerville Ukulele Band.
