Connexion Mural Fundraiser

Connexion and East Somerville Main Streets are raising funds to complete a mural at Connexion, 149 Broadway in East Somerville. This mural will embody the spirit of East Somerville. The artists, Michael Talbot and Lucy Nguyen, noted that they "wanted to include the imagery of flora and plants along the pillars. At the base of each pillar would be stacks of books displaying a selection of titles from All She Wrote Books, alluding to the featured free library. As an additional unifying element, we felt that the depiction of birds is an appropriate subject matter because birds and associations to nature often offer inspiration in literature and poetry because they help one better connect and understand messages and beliefs."
